Accessibility Compliance Toolkit for Joomla — v1.0.1
Requirements
- Joomla 5.x
- PHP 8.1 or newer
- MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL
Installation
- Download
pkg_accessibilitycompliance.zipfrom the home page. - In Joomla, go to System → Install → Extensions and upload the package.
- Open Components → Accessibility Compliance.
The package installs the administrator component and the content plugin. Enable the plugin under System → Plugins (search "Accessibility") to get author-time warnings.
Scanning a page (free)
- On the Dashboard, click Run a scan.
- Enter a public URL and click Scan now.
- Review the compliance score, legal-risk level and findings — each mapped to its WCAG success criterion and EN 301 549 clause.
Issues workbench
The Issues screen lists every finding with severity/status filters and remediation guidance.
Author-time warnings
With the content plugin enabled, saving an article scans it and warns the author if the score falls below the configured target (Options → set the minimum score).
Pro — full-site audit & compliance report
- Buy a licence (pricing) and copy your key from Lemon Squeezy.
- Paste it in Options → Pro Licence → Licence key and save.
- Open Site Audit (Pro) and click Activate licence.
- Enter your start URL and click Start audit — the crawler scans every internal page.
- Click Download compliance report to save the audit evidence (HTML, print-to-PDF ready, mapped to WCAG & EN 301 549).
For security, set your Lemon Squeezy Product ID in Options so only keys for this product are accepted.
Standards covered
WCAG 2.1 & 2.2 (A/AA), EN 301 549, the European Accessibility Act (EAA), ADA and Section 508. Findings are source-level; automated checks should be complemented by manual testing for full conformance.
